She also performed in Jazz Matazz tour of Japan. Jazz Matazz is the band of New York’s charismatic MC, Guru (well-known for appearing in, and writing the theme song of Spike Lee’s film “MO Better Blues”). She went to tour and performed with such legendary Jazz artist as Donald Bird (T.P), Lonnie Liston Smith (Key,Piano). Guru made Chika famous among HIP HOP fans on the tour. She performs regularly on several music programmes on radio and T.V. in Japan.
She has released 7 solo albums ("Stones" Kitty Records.,"Gypsy Moon" (Nippon Colombia)," Heartland Chic" (King records)., "It's Up to you" (Alfa Records)., "Asian Heart" (Alfa Records)., After released those her solo albums by major record company in Japan, She formed her own music label, in 1996, utilizing her experience as a musician as well as producer, She produced many Asia’s big artists such as Ning Baizura, (from Malaysia) Kim Johan (Korea) Reza (Indonesia) and etc.
In 2000 Chika formed the AMBIENT7 band released 3 albums. Their recordings and composition have since been hosted in films, television documentaries, fashion events and Music Festivals in Japan and Korea. Regarded by many in the music industry as one of the worlds finest female saxophone players, Chika and her band performed throughout S/E Asia and Japan. She performed for Diana Krall's post performance in Singapore and recently played at Sunset and New Morning jazz clubs in Paris.
